UNTITLED, Art is pleased to announce AGUAS, the artist-run curatorial platform founded by artist Rodrigue Mouchez, will be guest curator of the seventh edition of Untitled, Miami Beach. AGUAS’ artist-focused curatorial approach and distinct international perspective on contemporary art practices, reflects Untitled’s commitment as an international curated fair to keep artists and collaboration as its central focus.
AGUAS will work together with Untitled’s Executive Director, Manuela Mozo and Artistic Director, Omar Lopez-Chahoud, to curate a selection of international galleries, and develop a series of special artist projects that will be integrated throughout the fair. “I am thrilled that AGUAS, an artist-run curatorial platform will join us for the seventh edition of the fair,” states Manuela Mozo, Untitled’s Executive Director, “When considering a curatorial guest for Untitled, Miami Beach I wanted to incorporate the collaborative energy that has recently surfaced in the art world.
Collaborations such as the international gallery exchange of Condo; Ruberta the collaborative exhibition space in Glendale, CA; gallery timeshares by VACATION in New York; and the non-profit exhibition spaces of JOAN in Los Angeles all reflect a spirit of generosity, innovation and the necessity to address some of the current issues facing artists and galleries. These inspiring models led us to our own collaboration with AGUAS.”
