Movers & Shakers: Premier Sotheby’s International Realty and KAST Construction name next CEOs

In South Florida’s latest hiring news, Premier Sotheby’s International Realty has named Jackie Thiel as its next chief executive officer. Thiel, who has served as president of the Naples-based firm for two years, will succeed Budge Huskey, effective Jan. 1, as part of a planned succession process, according to a release.

Huskey will transition to a role as executive chairman and will continue to serve as vice chairman of Peerage Realty Partners and Peerage Group Sotheby’s International Realty.

As president, Thiel has overseen Premier Sotheby’s brokerage operations, brokerage team and advisor development programs. She previously spent 22 years at Long & Foster Real Estate, where she most recently served as president.

Huskey joined Premier Sotheby’s International Realty in 2016. He led the firm for a decade, growing it to 1,200 advisors and more than 40 offices across Florida and North Carolina. Under his leadership, the company became the largest Sotheby’s International Realty affiliate worldwide by closed sales volume, the release said.

Huskey has 42 years of experience in real estate management, residential brokerage and financing. Before joining Premier Sotheby’s, he held executive positions at Coldwell Banker Real Estate, according to LinkedIn. In his role as executive chairman, Huskey will focus on strategic initiatives, growth opportunities, industry relations and company culture.

KAST Construction also named its next CEO. Sean Ouellette, who is the West Palm Beach-based firm’s president and chief operating officer, will succeed longtime CEO Mike Neal next month. The appointment is the culmination of a multiyear succession plan, according to a release.

Ouellette has 26 years of experience in the construction industry. He’s worked at KAST for 10 years, helping grow the firm’s annual revenue to upwards of $450 million, the release said. He was named president in October last year.

Neal joined KAST as CEO and shareholder in 2010. He previously served as president of Coscan Construction and Executive Vice President of Bovis Construction.

Serhant Naples promoted Nicole Hogue to associate sales manager. Hogue previously served as agent and operations support. In her new role, she will oversee sales operations and guide agents through strategy, negotiation, compliance and growth, a release said.

The Miami native has more than a decade of experience across marketing, negotiation and real estate operations. She previously served as senior vice president at McQuaid & Company, which merged with Serhant last year. Before that, she was director of operations at RTMT Holdings and owner at Naples Food Tours Inc., according to LinkedIn.
