A Palm Beach estate belonging to a German prince has sold for $30.3 million.
The estate of the late Albrecht zu Oettingen-Spielberg, who died in November at the age of 74, sold the 4,700-square-foot home at 143 East Inlet Drive, according to public records. The buyer was 143 East Inlet LLC, which lists attorney Leonard Ackerman as the authorized person in county records.
The deal worked out to about $6,800 per square foot.
Liza Pulitzer and Whitney McGurk of Brown Harris Stevens held the listing. Island Realty PB represented the buyer.
The estate sits on a 1.2-acre lot in Sea Isles Estates, an ultra-luxury residential community at the northern end of Palm Beach Island.
Built in 1960, the home includes five bedrooms, six bathrooms and one half-bathroom, according to public records. The two-story house was marketed as a renovation opportunity or a tear-down that could be replaced with a new residence, the Palm Beach Post reported.
Outside, the property has 100 feet of beach frontage, a covered loggia, and a pool, according to the outlet. Inside, the house features a formal dining room and a wet bar.
The late prince owned the property since 1987, when he bought it for $1.8 million. Zillow shows Albrecht listed the estate for $45 million in 2024. The sale went pending in March with an asking price of $32.9 million, The Real Deal previously reported.
Albrecht served as head of the Princely House of Oettingen-Spielberg for five decades, according to The Royal Correspondent. He succeeded his father, Prince Alois, who died in 1975. Though the Oettingen-Spielberg family lost its sovereignty in 1806, it has maintained its hereditary titles.
Albrecht was the 11th prince. He married Angela Frank in 1980 and had four children. His eldest son Prince Franz-Albrecht is the 12th prince and signed the deed as a personal representative of the estate.
