Julian Johnston, one of the Corcoran Group’s top agents in Miami-Dade, left the brokerage and joined One Sotheby’s International Realty, The Real Deal has learned.
Johnston’s license was transferred to One Sotheby’s on Monday, state records show. A top agent in Miami, Johnston joined Corcoran in 2019 as the brokerage was expanding in South Florida. Before that, he operated his own brokerage, Calibre International Realty.
Johnston was seventh in TRD’s latest ranking of residential real estate agents. His team closed 35 on-market deals totaling $245 million in closed dollar volume in the 12-month period ending in August 2025. His career sales total more than $10 billion, according to a news release from One Sotheby’s.
Few agents at the top have changed brokerages over the past year.
Johnston said he was “very grateful” to Pam Liebman, Corcoran’s CEO, and the team. He cited One Sotheby’s large new development business and offices in other locations, including Pinecrest, Coral Gables and Fort Lauderdale, as reasons for his move.
“I want to try and jumpstart other areas, see if I can branch out further, and I felt like Sotheby’s was a good fit,” he said.
Johnston’s recent deals include the $22.5 million sale of the waterfront lots at 1230 South Venetian Way and 1236 South Venetian Way. Johnston represented the seller, Jeff Franklin, who created the sitcom “Full House,” and the buyers. He also represented the buyer in the $17.3 million sale of the house at 1041 North Venetian Drive on the Venetian Islands.
He’ll be based out of the brokerage’s Miami Beach office and is taking with him $400 million in active listings, according to a spokesperson for One Sotheby’s.
He’ll be under the same Compass International Holdings umbrella following the acquisition of Anywhere Real Estate, which closed earlier this year. One Sotheby’s is owned and led by Daniel and Mayi de la Vega, who have expanded their franchise business throughout Florida and outside of the state, including to New Jersey.
Daniel recently became CEO of One Sotheby’s, which is headquartered in Coconut Grove, as part of a succession plan that’s been in the works for years. Mayi, his mother, is now executive chair of the firm.
