Organizations embrace hybrid infrastructure with strong operational controls and in-country data processing, ISG Provider Lens® report says
Brazilian organizations are redesigning hybrid cloud architectures to balance AI scalability, operational resilience and regulatory requirements, according to a new research report published today by Information Services Group (ISG) (Nasdaq: III), a global AI-centered technology research and advisory firm.

The 2026 ISG Provider Lens® Private/Hybrid Cloud — Data Center Services report for Brazil finds that enterprises are keeping data and AI processing within Brazil, combining private computing environments with domestic public cloud regions to increase flexibility and meet data residency requirements. Limited availability of high-end AI hardware continues to influence infrastructure planning, leading organizations to rely on elastic AI capacity available in Brazilian cloud regions while maintaining local control of critical workloads.

Many organizations are keeping data and AI pre-processing with private, hosted or colocation environments while using public clouds for AI training and inference. This approach allows them to scale AI workloads with less dependence on scarce private GPU resources. Deterministic latency and metro interconnect design are also increasingly important factors in enterprises’ infrastructure choices. Now that elastic AI capacity is readily available within Brazil, companies are focusing less on borders and more on optimizing workload placement within Brazil to maximize efficiency.
Enterprises in Brazil are strengthening operational practices as they industrialize automation, implementing policy-as-code, infrastructure as code and human oversight. Companies are requiring clearly defined operating boundaries, auditable decision logs and tested rollback procedures before introducing autonomous AI agents in production. FinOps is also becoming a core operational discipline, with cost visibility, anomaly detection and workload placement policies to balance performance and spending across hybrid estates.
Many Brazilian companies are standardizing infrastructure instead of relying on customized designs that make operations more complex. Organizations are using techniques such as automated rollback, immutable backups and orchestrated disaster recovery to ensure business continuity. Regulated industries, including financial services, healthcare and the public sector, are also requiring verifiable access controls, onshore support and documented operational evidence as part of strategies to strengthen accountability and business continuity, ISG says.
