Douglas Elliman Realty has named Jamie Gagliano chief operations officer, brokerage, charging the longtime luxury real estate executive with leading the firm’s national operations and supporting its ongoing technology transformation, according to an announcement on Tuesday.
Gagliano returns to Douglas Elliman from The Corcoran Group, where she served as partner and chief operating officer for Noble Black & Partners, a role she originally held when the team was based at Douglas Elliman, according to the company’s announcement. She previously was COO for The Holly Parker Team at Douglas Elliman and will be based out of the firm’s flagship office at 575 Madison Avenue in Manhattan.
As national brokerage COO, Gagliano will oversee Douglas Elliman’s operations infrastructure across the country, with a focus on streamlining systems, tightening agent and staff support and building what the firm describes as a more efficient, scalable brokerage platform. Her mandate includes aligning day-to-day operations with the rollout of Elius, Douglas Elliman’s AI intelligence platform built on Google Cloud.
Douglas Elliman president and CEO Michael Liebowitz said Gagliano’s operational background and internal credibility will be central to retaining and attracting top producers in a competitive luxury market.
“I can’t overstate how proud I am to welcome Jamie back to Douglas Elliman,” Liebowitz said in the announcement. “The admiration and affection she’s earned from agents and executives, both here and across our industry, as well as her proven operational expertise, will be critical to ensuring Elliman remains the home of choice for the most exceptional agents and staff.”
Gagliano said her focus will be making sure operations and technology keep pace with the expectations of high-producing agents.
“This is a company built on entrepreneurship, and under Michael’s leadership that spirit is now paired with real operational muscle and technology from Elius that will redefine what agents can achieve,” Gagliano said. “I’m here to make sure our infrastructure is as ambitious as our agents, and I couldn’t be more excited to help build that future.”
Gagliano first joined Douglas Elliman in 2014 as COO for The Holly Parker Team. During her tenure she helped close the largest deal signed in downtown New York City in 2020, according to the announcement. Over more than two decades in real estate and private wealth management, she has helped build teams and financial infrastructure from the ground up, giving her experience with both the operational demands of running top-producing practices and the individual needs of agents.
Her hire comes as large brokerages lean on operations and technology leaders to rationalize costs, support productivity and integrate AI-driven tools into agents’ daily workflows. For real estate professionals, the move signals that Douglas Elliman is tying its AI investments more directly to its national brokerage operations, a shift that could affect how the firm structures support, training and performance expectations across markets.
