Experian integrates Verify with Workday for income verification

Experian announced on Thursday that it has integrated its income and employment verification platform with Workday, expanding the payroll information available for real-time verification.

The integration will allow Workday customers to use Experian Verify to verify income and employment information, including for consumers applying for mortgages, auto loans, rental housing and other financial products.

The integration is part of Experian’s broader effort to expand its Verify network through connections with payroll providers and employers. Experian said the network has a path to cover more than 80 million records, representing more than half of U.S. payroll employees.

Real-time access to income and employment information can reduce the need for manual verification, which often requires employees to provide additional documentation and can delay loan, housing and other financial decisions.

“Whether it’s buying a home, purchasing a family vehicle, getting a job or navigating another important financial milestone, behind every verification request is a person trying to move forward,” Michele Bodda, group president of Experian Verification Solutions, Employer Services and Housing, said in a statement.

The Workday integration adds payroll data from one of the largest providers of human capital management software to Experian Verify’s network, which also includes payroll provider integrations, employer-direct records and consumer-permissioned verification.

“HR teams shouldn’t have to become paperwork chasers, and employees shouldn’t have to put life on hold waiting for a verification to clear,” Nancy Weitl, vice president of HCM product management at Workday, said in a statement.

Workday customers will be able to verify income and employment through Experian as part of Workday Total Benefits, a new solution that the company plans to launch in late October.
