Affirm partners with Ant International's Antom to bring pay-over-time to US customers

Antom, Ant International’s global merchant payment and digitisation platform, is bringing Affirm (NASDAQ: AFRM) to its merchants in the US, giving them a simple way to offer U.S. customers a pay-over-time option those customers already know and trust.

This month, Antom’s merchants will be able to offer Affirm at checkout, giving their customers more transparency and choice in how they pay. Eligible customers can choose customized biweekly or monthly payment plans, with the full cost shown upfront and no late or hidden fees. It’s the kind of clarity that builds confidence at checkout and brings customers back. That’s why 96% of Affirm transactions come from repeat customers.

“Our merchants are looking for payment options that can support their growth while remaining simple to integrate and familiar to their customers,” said Gary Liu, CEO of Antom, Senior Vice President of Ant International. “Affirm is a name their customers recognize and trust, so offering it is an easy call. Bringing Affirm onto our platform can help merchants turn browsers into buyers.”

Merchants will enable Affirm directly through Antom’s portal in a few easy steps. Their customers who select Affirm at checkout complete a quick eligibility check, and Affirm’s real-time underwriting tailors each approved offer to the purchase, on amounts from $35 to $30,000 with terms from 30 days to 36 months.* Through this partnership, Antom merchants will be able to offer consumers more flexible payment plans, including six-month interest-free options via Affirm.

“Payment platforms increasingly choose Affirm because their merchants do better when customers can pay over time on honest terms,” said Steve McPhee, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Affirm. “Antom brings Affirm to its growing merchant base in the US today, and its global footprint gives us real room to grow together.”

This service will be available for customers in the UK within this year, with plans to expand to more global markets in the future.
