The American Housing Corporation launched an Austin homebuilding division and named three industry veterans to lead the new operation as it ramps up an infill-focused, prefabricated rowhome platform, the company announced this week.
Austin is the launch market for the company’s infill homebuilding strategy, which centers on designing, manufacturing and constructing urban rowhomes. The move comes as builders look for ways to add “missing middle” housing in supply-constrained, high-cost markets without relying solely on traditional greenfield development.
Parker Scott, a former division president at LGI Homes, was appointed general manager, Daniel Green will serve as director of construction operations and Luke Allen will serve as director of land.
Scott brings more than 20 years of homebuilding sales and operational experience to the role. Green joins from senior construction positions at Homebound, ATCO Structures and Perry Homes, where he focused on building operations and execution systems. Allen, who previously held land roles at Lennar and Ashton Woods, will oversee land acquisition, underwriting and pipeline development for the Austin market.
In October 2026, American Housing Corp completed its “Demo 2” prototype using a componentized, prefabricated building system. The company is building a 250,000-square-foot manufacturing plant in Southeast Austin designed to produce up to 1,200 homes annually, according to the announcement.
The factory-scale approach is intended to standardize production, shorten build times and provide more cost certainty, which could appeal to capital providers and municipalities looking for scalable infill housing solutions. For real estate investors and lenders, the combination of an infill land strategy with a controlled-offsite construction environment could change underwriting assumptions around cycle times and construction risk.
Alongside the Austin division launch, the company restructured its real estate operations and parted ways with co-founder Bobby Fijan. The firm credited Fijan with helping establish its early real estate footprint and championing urban, family-sized housing.
