For SMBs that need quick access to capital, Bizcap raises a $175M credit facility to expand its solution for that

Bizcap, a global financial technology company that recently planted its North American headquarters in Miami, is on a mission to provide fast, flexible funding to small and medium-sized businesses. The company will be able to help more businesses in the United States and Canada do just that, thanks to a recently closed a $175 million credit facility with a US institutional credit manager.

Through proprietary technology, data-driven underwriting and local market expertise, Bizcap helps businesses access capital beyond traditional financing options. The company says its approach enables funding decisions in as little as 3 hours with capital available the next day.

Founded in Australia in 2019, Bizcap has since expanded into eight countries and provided more than $5 billion in funding to over 100,000 businesses worldwide. “We’ve achieved that by looking beyond traditional credit metrics, combining technology and data with a deeper understanding of each business to identify opportunities that other lenders might overlook,” said Bizcap CEO Albert Gahfi [pictured above], who is based in Miami.

The credit facility will help the company continue its international expansion across North America, Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, the United Kingdom and Europe.

The facility will also allow the company to further invest in AI, proprietary technology and operational infrastructure to support its expanding global operations. Bizcap says it has committed substantial resources to developing its proprietary AI and machine learning capabilities, with a focus on strengthening credit decisioning, improving operational efficiency and supporting faster, more informed funding decisions. ” This facility gives us the capacity to bring that approach to more businesses across the US and Canada, while continuing to invest in the technology, products and people driving our growth,” Gahfi added.

In comments to Refresh Miami, Gahfi said Miami is important to the company’s expansion plans. He also shared more details about the Miami HQ move that was announced this summer.

“We’re moving into our new HQ at The Well in Bay Harbor, and it’s going to be the hub for everything we do in North America. The space is incredible and the location is hard to beat. It brings close to 100 of us together in a top-of-the-line office. This is a milestone for Bizcap in the US, and we’re going to keep growing from here,” Gahfi said. Notably, in an earlier interview in July, Gahfi said going forward all new US hires will be based in Miami.

Bizcap is part of Miami’s active hub for fintech companies in a small business-rich region. Indeed, fintech startups pulled in nearly $1 billion in venture capital in 2025 and that trend has continued. The sector is also supported by a new fintech accelerator supported by Ambition Accelerated and Gold Coast Tech in West Palm Beach.

“South Florida is fast becoming a major financial hub. Banks, financial firms and fintechs are moving in and building up big operations in the region,” Gahfi added. “Miami has the right people and the right talent all right here making it the perfect home base for our growth across North America.”
