Hassan Whiteside’s Miami Beach mansion paces $110M week for Miami-Dade luxury contracts

Former Miami Heat player Hassan Whiteside has once again found a buyer for his Miami Beach mansion, asking $14.8 million. 

The pending sale marks the third time the house has gone under contract since May. It’s the second-priciest of the 13 luxury contracts signed in Miami-Dade County between July 27 and Aug. 2, according to the weekly report by Douglas Elliman’s Eklund-Gomes team. The report tracks all listings in Miami-Dade asking $4 million and above. 

The contracts totaled $110.5 million in asking dollar volume and spent an average of 173 days on the market. The previous report recorded nine contracts with a total asking dollar volume of $85.6 million.

Buyers signed nine contracts for single-family homes, which had a total asking dollar volume of $66.7 million and spent an average of 129 days on the market. The average contract price was $7.4 million, or about $1,273 per square foot. 

Whiteside’s 5,400-square-foot home at 528 Lakeview Court was the priciest home to go under contract. The mansion, which has an asking price of about $2,740 per square foot, has five bedrooms, seven bathrooms and one half-bath, according to the listing. The 2014-built home sits on a 0.4-acre lot and includes 90 feet of water frontage, a built-in aquarium, a rooftop lounge, a theater, a 45-foot dock and three jet ski slips.

Jill Eber of the Jills Zeder Group at Coldwell Banker Realty and Melissa Barragan of Dezer Platinum Realty had the listing. The house last went under contract in early June but was relisted June 25, according to Redfin. Whiteside paid $7.3 million for the property in 2016, The Real Deal previously reported. 

Whiteside played for the Heat for five seasons between 2014 and 2019. He spent his last NBA season with the Utah Jazz before later coming out of retirement to sign with the Shanghai Sharks in the Chinese Basketball Association for the 2025-2026 season. 

Buyers also signed four condo contracts last week. They totaled $43.8 million in asking dollar volume and spent an average of 272 days on the market. The average contract price was $10.9 million, or about $3,588 per square foot. 

The most-expensive condo to find a buyer was a 4,500-square-foot unit at Fendi Château Residences in Surfside. Apartment 801 at 9349 Collins Avenue has an asking price of $16.8 million, or about $3,733 per square foot. The three-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bathroom condo includes a media room, private elevator entry and a 1,600-square-foot wraparound terrace, according to the listing. 

Jill Eber of the Jills Zeder Group at Coldwell Banker Realty listed the property. Records list the current owner as Jabl Inc. The unit last sold for $10.9 million in 2022.
