Newgard buys West Palm Beach site for luxury car concept

Harvey Hernandez’s Newgard Group scooped up a 2.6-acre site in West Palm Beach that could soon showcase luxury cars.

The Miami-based developer’s commercial division plans to build a luxury car and lifestyle concept at 2500 North Florida Mango Road that would include 20 automotive studios, which will be sold to separate owners.

Records show Newgard bought the site from a California-based LLC led by Jonathan Bergman for $10.5 million. The property tripled in value from Bergman’s $3.5 million purchase in 2021.

Newgard’s project will feature spaces for car collectors to store and display their vehicles within a membership-driven model. Planned amenities include wellness and fitness facilities, padel courts, coworking space, and driving and racing experiences.

West Palm Beach will serve as the first location for the platform, which Newgard plans to expand into other U.S. markets. The company said the location was chosen for its luxury market, accessibility and growing population of car collectors.

Sales of the 20 automotive studios are expected to begin later this year. Newgard plans to unveil the platform’s name, partners and additional locations at the same time.

Luxury car projects are on the rise in South Florida, with Newgard also involved in Revault, a planned 16-unit luxury car-storage condo and collector community in Miami’s Little River neighborhood, developed with Imperial Moto.

Similar concepts include The Hangar at Regatta Harbour in Coconut Grove, a private garage condo for car collectors, and Auto Clubhouse in Jupiter, which offers individually owned luxury garage condos and private-club amenities.

Car-branded residential projects such as Dezer Development’s Porsche Design Tower and Bentley Residences Miami, and Riviera Horizons’ Pagani Residences also offer related luxury car-storage and display features.

Newgard and its partners are building several residential high-rises in the Brickell area including Lofty Brickell, The Standard Residences, Brickell, and Project M.

The developer’s completed South Florida projects include BrickellHouse, Centro, One Flagler, Gale Fort Lauderdale, Natiivo Miami, Villa Calabria, Gables View, Douglas Place, Solaris on Brickell, Mediterranea, Gallery Art and City Palms in West Palm Beach.

In March, Newgard’s Natiivo Fort Lauderdale project was sold in a foreclosure auction to previous owners New York-based Kushner Companies for $35,100, court records show. Kushner and Aimco sold the site in 2023 for $31.2 million that included $21.2 million in seller financing. Kushner filed a foreclosure lawsuit in July 2025 against Newgard, alleging that the developer defaulted by failing to repay the loan when it matured in June 2025. A Broward County Circuit Court judge ruled in favor of Kushner with a $26 million judgment.
