GLOBAL, October 19, 2026 — WTW (NASDAQ: WTW) has announced the next-generation AI Assistant for RiskAgility Financial Modeller (FM), its flagship life modelling and financial reporting platform. The integration of semi-autonomous agentic capabilities in RiskAgility FM moves financial modelling beyond question-answering and code generation, allowing actuarial teams to delegate more complex, multi-step tasks within a governed platform.
Mark Brown, Global Proposition Lead, Life Financial Modelling, Insurance Consulting and Technology, WTW, said: “AI assistance in modelling is rapidly becoming commonplace. The real differentiator is no longer whether AI can answer natural-language questions or generate code, but whether it can deliver a coherent modelling outcome – from interpreting an unfamiliar specification and planning the required work to producing evidence ready for actuarial review.”
When presented with a previously unseen product, methodology or migration specification, the RiskAgility FM AI Assistant can interpret requirements, plan the work, build or adapt the model, execute runs to test results, investigate issues and document the outcome for expert review. It works towards the intended result while RiskAgility FM’s governance features ensure actuarial judgement and approval remain firmly with the human team.
As a semi-autonomous member of a modelling team, the AI Assistant is transforming actuarial model migration; implementing product, regulatory and methodology changes consistently; running regression and sensitivity tests; diagnosing failed checks; and preparing evidence for review. The AI Assistant coordinates these as connected assignments rather than isolated prompts.
Mark Brown continued: “The RiskAgility FM AI Assistantchanges the economics of model delivery. By accelerating work that has traditionally depended on scarce specialist expertise and lengthy build-and-test cycles, it enables complex modelling activities to be completed within the platform, supported by the controls and evidence required for financial reporting. This helps to address one of the biggest barriers to modernisation: the cost, capacity and time needed to recreate and validate complex models on a new system.
“For insurers, this can compress the path from requirement to tested implementation. Teams can assess product changes sooner, respond faster to reporting needs, and evaluate or migrate portfolios in significantly less time than before.”
